# Kit Digital: Your Gateway to Business Transformation

The Kit Digital Programme (Spain’s government-funded digitalisation voucher scheme for small businesses) has extended the deadline for applying for its grants until **31 December 2024**. This means that **self-employed workers and companies with fewer than 50 employees will be able to access the “zero-cost” grants until that date** to drive their digitalisation, through vouchers of 2,000, 6,000 or 12,000 euros, depending on the segment they belong to.

Each [one of the calls for applications](https://sede.red.gob.es/convocatorias-y-ayudas?field_fecha_fin_plazo_value=1) details the requirements for applying for the grants, the obligations taken on by beneficiaries, the maximum grant amounts for each category of digitalisation solution, the supporting documentation, and the payment and monitoring of the implementation of the solutions, among other important matters.

## – What is the Kit Digital programme?

Kit Digital is an initiative of the Spanish Government, managed by Red.es, whose aim is to promote the digitalisation of small companies, micro-enterprises and self-employed workers, and to help modernise Spain’s productive fabric. It has a budget of **3,067 million euros**, funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU funds, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, the Digital Spain 2026 agenda and the SME Digitalisation Plan 2021-2025, and its objective is to digitalise SMEs and self-employed workers from all productive sectors across the whole country.

According to our expert **Joaquin Perez,** these subsidies represent “an opportunity that no company or self-employed worker should let pass by”, since Kit Digital is a grant awarded by the Government “to **practically all SMEs and self-employed workers to advance their digital transformation**“.

## – What are the amounts of the Kit Digital programme?

The grant amount for companies with between 10 and fewer than 50 employees is **12,000 euros**. For companies with between 3 and fewer than 10 employees, the digital vouchers are worth **6,000 euros**. Finally, the grant for SMEs with between 0 and fewer than 3 employees is **2,000 euros**.

## – What benefits does Kit Digital offer applicants?

According to **Joaquin Perez**, our **Kit Digital expert at Impactiq**, “practically everything about this grant is a benefit”, starting with the **simplicity of the application process for companies and of meeting the requirements**.

Strategically and at a business level, “the benefits are significant because it is a very powerful aid for **starting to digitalise or consolidating the process** at zero cost”, our expert assures.

For example, this grant can be invested in websites, online shops, search engine optimisation (SEO), social media or the digital management of the company.

## – Who can apply?

Self-employed workers and SMEs with fewer than 50 employees

## – How can a self-employed worker or company find out which agencies can provide Kit Digital services?

On the Kit Digital government website, there is a list of agencies (digitalising agents) in which you can filter the search by province and services.

## – How can Kit Digital help the online visibility of a business or activity?

Some of the digitalisation solutions that SMEs will be able to apply for and implement are the following: website and internet presence, social media management, e-commerce, customer management, virtual office services and tools, business intelligence and analytics, process management, electronic invoicing, and secure communications and cybersecurity.

In addition, for the second and third segments, advanced internet presence and marketplace solutions are also available.

“In this context, our experience with SMEs and self-employed workers who have been awarded the grant tells us that it **really is a genuine boost for making progress in such strategic areas as their websites, online shops or search engine optimisation (SEO)**“, our expert at **Impactiq** assures.

Other digitalisation solutions covered by these vouchers are customer management, **virtual office services and tools, business intelligence and analytics, process management, electronic invoicing, and secure communications and cybersecurity**.

## How to apply for the Kit Digital grant

These are the steps to follow to apply for the grants:

1. Register in the private area of [www.acelerapyme.es](http://www.acelerapyme.es/) and complete the digital self-assessment test, which takes no more than 10 minutes.
2. Review the information available on the Kit Digital Programme’s digitalisation solutions, where you can choose one or more of those listed.
3. Apply for the grant at the [Red.es electronic office](https://sede.red.gob.es/) (https://sede.red.gob.es). Once it has been verified that the company meets the requirements, the digital voucher is awarded. The beneficiary (the SME or self-employed worker) will be able to consult the catalogue of basic digitalisation solutions offered by the Kit Digital Programme at www.acelerapyme.es and will also be able to see the catalogue of digitalising agents. Finally, the beneficiary must select one or more digitalising agents with whom to develop the digitalisation solutions that best suit their business needs and sign the “digitalisation solution provision agreements”. Of course, at **Impactiq, we will be delighted to handle the whole process with you and accompany you on the road to digitalising your business**. Kit Digital Programme grants are non-competitive and are awarded directly and on a first-come, first-served basis, once compliance with the requirements set out in the call has been verified.
